Smart Circle employees decked the office halls with holiday cheer (and festive slippers!) at the company’s holiday party last week. This year’s annual holiday celebration was held on Thursday, December 22nd at Smart Circle’s headquarters in Foothill Ranch. Employees enjoyed specialty “build-your-own” pizzas and holiday treats, and engaged in a variety of holiday-themed activities, including a Secret Santa gift exchange, raffle, games and a slipper contest.
The holiday party kicked off with gourmet brick oven pizzas and salads. A local company brought in ovens just for the occasion, ensuring piping hot pizzas with a fresh-out-of-the-oven taste. Employees chose from a variety of pizzas, including barbeque chicken, veggie, pepperoni, all-meat, and five cheese with fresh tomato. The table was also filled with an array of delectable desserts, including frosted holiday shaped cookies and brownies.
Once employees had enjoyed their lunches, they participated in fun holiday games, including a holiday word scramble game, and a matching game where employees matched actors/actresses to the relevant holiday movies. Game winners received cute miniature Lego sets with Target gift cards. A raffle was also held, providing employees with additional chances to win gift cards.
The games were followed by a Secret Santa gift exchange, where participating employees exchanged and opened the gifts prepared by their Secret Santa’s. The presents ranged from gift cards to creative, personalized presents. One employee even received a homemade purse made out of jeans!
The party concluded with a holiday slipper contest. Throughout the week, employees were encouraged to wear colorful, festive – even ugly – slippers to the party. Employees’ slippers were judged and awarded in the following three categories: Ugliest Pair, Most Festive Pair, and Most Creative Pair. Employees sported everything from penguin slippers, to stocking slippers decorated with tinsel and ornaments.
